Nice idea from Softbank: a QWERTY-equipped, large-screen phone that runs a usual cellphone OS rather than Windows Mobile. With the hurdle of the OS’s complexity removed, it’ll be interesting to see how many of these they shift. I’d consider getting one myself, in fact; the lack of access to cellphone-specific sites/services when using a smartphone can get irksome at times. (Were it not for the reputedly poor coverage and quality of Softbank’s network, that is.) (Via Engadget Japanese)
