For goodness' sake
Oshio Manabu’s likeness as drawn by Fuji TV’s court reporter is the absolute spit of Da Pump’s Issa, FWIW. Also: wonder if Oshio was going grey before recent events and he’s been denied access to (or seen it as prudent to stop using) hair dye? Or are his balls not as big and brassy as his front had led us to suspect?

I received a mostly form response from Amazon about the feedback I sent them on the Kindle. The salient part was the as-expected confirmation that “[t]he content owners do decide on the availability and the price in which [sic] we sell content.” So it may be that in inking an agreement with Amazon publishers get options such as “Printed version: available outside US?...
Why I don't think I can buy a Kindle yet in Japan
The announcement that the Kindle is going on sale in Japan had me excited. I mostly read English-language books and there understandably aren’t many bookshops that stock much of a range in Tokyo. So I habitually order books from Amazon Japan. This also leads to the inevitable dead-tree clutter, which would be nice to avoid particularly when travelling.
